CAR: The Alien Convention, American Side (April 2)

In the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan of the United States and Premier Mikhail Gorbachev agreed that if aliens invaded Earth, they would set aside their differences. In the next couple of weeks, we will explain to these aliens why these two sides are separate to begin with.

American side:

1. Home: American kitchens

2. Entertainment: How to play Monopoly

3. Education: American High School, Movies vs. Reality

4. Work: 7 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Accepting a Job

The class will be divided into 4 groups corresponding to the previous four topics. In any format (speech, presentation, essay, video, etc), explain to the Alien Convention how your topic works in a capitalist, liberal, American (or Americanized) context.
