CIGP: Order of Presentations, Academic Seminar

On these dates, you will have to make a 3-5 minute presentation about the argument you're making in your Final Project. You will be graded when you participate in other people's presentations and restructure at least one of their arguments with your own suggestions. If you don't participate in this way at least once per day, you will get a zero that day. This will apply for the three days of the seminar.

Extra Points: Book Reports

As you may know from reading the syllabus, you can get 5 extra points in your final grade if you write book reports about "Bound Together" by Nayan Chanda and "A Brief History of the Future" by Jacques Attali. Each one is worth 2.5 points.

The last day to upload them to Blackboard is May 4th, at 11:59 PM. They will be in the "Assignments" tab. E-mailed book reports won't count towards the final grade.

Change: Essay 8 is now for April 7th

The due date for your homework about the movies "Black Hawk Down", "Desert Flower", and "Captain Phillips" was changed to April 7th, which is Thursday next week. This means it will count for your final grade, not for your second partial grade.

You can see the instructions here.
