CAR: FUN World War 2 Dossiers! (March 5)

This week we will start preparing for a two-day Peace Conference to end World War 2.

The peace conference will take place next week on Wednesday and Thursday. It will involve a formal, time-appropriate dress code, and each delegation will be graded with a dossier containing at least three files:

  • Basic Information File: Write a clear and concrete description of the country you are representing. The information should be up to date for May 1, 1945. It should include the official name of the country, a chain of command showing how you are connected to the person in charge of the entire country, as well as general information on the state of your borders and your economic situation. What can you produce? What can you buy? Are any areas of your country occupied by a foreign army? How do you know this?
  • Military Strategy File: Pick one battle that your country was involved in during World War 2, and figure out your country's assets (what they took to the battleground), objectives (what they meant to achieve), and their results (what ended up happening). Explain the assets, objectives, and results in three levels: Tactical, Operational, and Strategic.
  • Diplomatic Negotiation File: This file should have a clear description your country's needs and offers by the end of World War 2. What do you need? What can you offer in exchange for it? Using this information, come up with three scenarios: the best case scenario your country plans to negotiate for at the end of World War 2, the probable scenario that is most likely to happen for your country at the end of the War, and the worst case scenario for your country at the end of the War. What is the best possible outcome? What is the most probable outcome? What would be the worst possible outcome? How do you know this?
Each file should have the title "FUN World War 2 Dossier" and at least one picture of Francisco.
